Superman and Lois season 4 has already premiered, so we have some catching up to do with our review of season 3! In this action-packed episode we discuss the introduction of Bruno Manheim and Intergang into the narrative. We also talk about the very real plotline around cancer and how Superman faces an enemy that he can’t defeat. We also debate the merits of a tougher, less intellectual Lex Luthor. Along the way we discuss teenagers with powers, family dynamics, dealing with physical illness and it’s effect on mental health, how scary a Superman at the end of his tether can be, and giving people their space.

Superman and Lois was a surprise hit in season 1 and we had overwhelmingly positive things to say about this show. This time we cover season 2. We do a deep dive and discuss the nature of the relationships in the show. We talk about Superman as a geopolitical figure and how that can make his heroicWe s complicated. We also get into the Bizarro universe and how it’s different from previous iterations that we may have seen. We also can’t leave without getting into the controversial divorcing of Superman & Lois from the Arrowverse. We also ask if the case was ever made for why merging was bad. Along the way we also get into the plot, the acting, and what we want out of season 3. 
Last year we watched the Arrowverse implode. Due to cancellations and a narrative divorce what had been a mega franchise with four different iterations was wittled down to just a single entry – The Flash. I this episode we review the penultimate season of The Flash. We discuss the characters, their trajectories, and whether we think they’re maximizing on their story potential. We’ll also discuss the plotlines and whether we thought that the payoff worked. Finally, we discuss the future and what we’d like out of a final season. 
The countdown to the end of the Arrowverse continues. This week we take a look at Batwoman season 3. In this episode we discuss the use of Batman “legacy” elements and how that effected the story. We also get into the series controversial take on electroshock therapy and whether we thought that it went too far. We also talk about the interpersonal relationships of the team and where we thought this would all go if there had been a season 4. 
Season 2 of Stargirl promised summer school hijinks. Instead it brought an expansion to the JSA mythos as well as a dip into horror and suspense. In this episode we discuss the tonal change to the series. We also talk about the new characters, the threat of Eclipso, and why we can’t get enough of the Crocks. Along the way we’ll also discuss what we want to see out of a season 3. 
Last year a new series took the Arrowverse by storm. That series was Superman and Lois. Although the character of Superman has been adapted numerous times in numerous media, this series broke the mold by focusing on Superman and Lois as parents of teenage children. Along the way superhuman threats emerge, but the heart of the show is about family. In this episode we talk about that family dynamic, how we felt about the portrayals, the surprise reveal of who “The Stranger” is, and the overall plot of the series. We also discuss that Diggle cameo and our thoughts for season two. 
The Flash returned to our screens post Covid to wrap up it’s lingering season six plotlines and tell two new stories this season. In this episode we take a deep dive on season 7. We focus on the fallout from the firing of Hartley Sawyer and the removal of Ralph Dibny from the series. We also discuss the new villains and how they stack up to what we’ve seen before. We also go deep into the relationships on the show and what dynamics are good and what we feel is missing.
Major changes are afoot as we discuss season two of Batwoman. The CW made a controversial move this year by not only replacing the actress who played Batwoman, but changing the identity of the person who wears the cowl to a person-of-color. We discuss the change and whether or not we think it’s worked. We also talk about the changed storylines and what we think of what’s been done with new and established characters. Along the way, we opine on The Diggle Cinematic Universe, Luke Fox taking his role as a hero, and whether the Crows make an effective substitute for the police as well as what the series isn’t addressing. We also chat about whether the Many Arms of Death is just the League of Assassins with the serial numbers filed off and whether desert rose really makes more sense as the name of a cosmetic product. 
For four years Black Lightning graced our screens with a generational story about an older superhero and person of color. The series was notable for its grounded storytelling, depicting street level foes for the titular character and showcasing a realistic family dynamic for a series with so much fantasy in its conception. In this episode we talk about the final season of Black Lightning. We discuss the plot, the changed premises, new characters, and the performances. We also discuss the Painkiller pilot, why we think that it didn’t get picked up, and whether we’d like to see more from the character. We also give our opinions on the series’ end and whether it lived up to four seasons of buildup. 
Titans was the flagship series for DC Universe’s new crop of live-action series based on the DC characters. Based on the popular Teen Titans franchise, the series highlighted darker themes and tones than most DC adaptations, which left many fans feeling ambivalent about the series after only the trailer dropped. In this episode we dive deep into the darkness of the series and discuss whether it was warranted for the story or not. We discuss the changes between seasons 1 and 2. We also talk about the characters that they’ve included and those they’ve left out and mention why that might be. We also give our opinions about the best things about the series and what we’d like to see in season 3.
