In this episode Nathan and Juliette talk about their first audio drama with the Lost Story, The Fragile Yellow Arc of Fragrance. This script was never meant to be performed, but writer Moris Fahri submitted it to the Doctor Who production office to show them what he could do. In this episode Juliette discusses how the enhanced audiobook format may not be so enhanced. Nathan is upbeat about a not-so-happy ending. Finally, the both bring it home by stating why this never could have been an actual story within the Doctor Who universe.

We’ve been podcasting for almost five years, but you’ve only had the opportunity to learn about a small fraction of our cast. We decided now is the time to rectify that situation. In this episode we sit down with three of our most prolific castmates. We ask each other geeky questions and give you some insight into our characters. It’s the same format as episode one, but it’s so much fun that we’ll probably do it again.
We continue our discussion of the Star Trek Films with Star Treks IV – VI. In this episode we discuss killer whales and whether the move to lighten the franchise worked. We also discuss fan opinion of The Final Frontier and whether it’s as bad as people say. We’ll also talk about dark themes in the Undiscovered Country and how the passing of the torch happened years after the successor series was already in place. We also discuss the plots, new characters, directorial choices, and more.
In 1977, Star Wars was released to movie theaters worldwide and created a smash hit phenomenon. Seeing the fervor for media content and merchandise many other sci-fi properties tried to horn in on the action. Star Trek had had a loyal fanbase since the 60’s and even had a new television series in the works, but with Star Wars blowing up the theaters it made sense that Star Trek could follow suit and also win big at the box office. The TV project, Star Trek: Phase II was shut down and Star Trek: The Motion Picture came to the big screen in 1979. The series of six movies that it spawned led to a revitalization of interest in Star Trek as well as a continuation for the actors who played the iconic roles. In this episode we have the first half of our discussion of the movies in which we talk about Star Treks I – III. We discuss how the big screen changed Trek, the themes of the different movies, whether the evens vs odds rule really works.
Star Trek: Discovery season 3 brought the titular ship to the far future opening up a wide storytelling vista for the series. In this episode we discuss the changes to the setting. We examine the new characters, new situation, and the new tech and effects. We also debate the merits of the plotlines with the Emerald Chain and the cause of The Burn. Along the way we also talk about the awesomeness of Grudge and whether or not the queen herself has any secrets to share. We’ll also bring up the old continuity bugbear and discuss how this season relates to what we know about certain races, beings, and times from elsewhere in the Star Trek franchise.
