Welcome to the Timestreams podcast! We’re a sister podcast to The 42cast. On this show Nathan and Juliette are watching through all of Doctor Who, explaining the storyline, and reviewing the episode. We love the series, but we don’t take ourselves too seriously. It’s all about having fun. Below is a little Q&A on the show.
What’s the format of the show?
First we do a brief introduction where Juliette and I talk about how we’re doing. Then, we discuss the story in detail. At the end we give our final thoughts and then mention what story we’ll be reviewing next time.
How long is the podcast?
We’re fighting to keep the show under 90 minutes. Doctor Who serials vary in length considerably, though, so some episodes may go a bit longer. One way we’re hoping to keep runtime down is that we will divide any serial of 7 episodes or more into two episodes of our podcast, so that the review doesn’t get ridiculously long. That being said, some six-parters may take more than 90 minutes to review.
How do I listen to the episodes?
From the website, you can click on the link that says “Timestreams” on the right-hand side of the web page or you can click this hyperlink here. You can also listen from Stitcher, Google Play, Spotify, or Apple Podcasts.
Will you ever talk about the novels, comics, or audio dramas?
Anything is possible. Doctor Who has a rich history with expanded media, and we have some thoughts about doing some breaks to discuss some of that material. Watch this space for more developments.
What is your background with Doctor Who?
Nathan has been watching Doctor Who since the age of 5 when he first saw Seeds of Doom. Since then he’s watched and rewatched the classic series and tried to get his hands on every piece of fiction and nonfiction about the classic series that he can get his hands on. He enjoys talking about this show more than anything else and is very excited to share his love of the series with Juliette.
Juliette began watching Doctor Who with the new series. She’s seen all of the adventures with the 9th and 10th Doctors and is excited about watching the series through from the beginning.
