Books are an important medium that can expand your mind and can show you spectacle that no TV series or film could ever match. In this episode we talk about some foundational, geeky books. We start by discussing the books that were essential to our own geeky journey. Then we talk about books that we think are good recommendations for those just starting off reading either science-fiction or fantasy.
Due to time constraints there is no five-minute controversy this week.
In this episode Alli; Kelley; Juliette; and newcomer, Andy, join the cast.

The 42cast has reached 200 episodes! We’d like to thank our audience for making this possible. As a treat for this episode we’ve invited back our most prolific guests. We discuss what has been going on in the geeskisphere since Episode 100, and we give our opinions on what has been the good; the bad; and the ugly. We also talk a little about what goes on behind the scenes on The 42cast. Watch out as Nathan goes on not 1, not, but 3 rants in this episode. It is not to be missed!
It seems like you can’t throw an infinity of rocks without hitting a movie, TV show, or book that uses the concept of the multiverse. In this episode we delve deep into the concept of a multiverse. We discuss the various types of multiverse utilized in fiction and get a little into the meta and in-universe reasoning behind it. We talk about why the multiverse is a concept that holds our interest. Finally we give our recomendations for things that have used the multiverse well that you should check out.
